Bruce is an independent financial advisor who previously represented AXA Advisors and Guardian Life Insurance of America. Individuals and businesses are secure in knowing the he has helped them protect their most important asset, themselves. As an independent agent, Bruce’s fiduciary responsibility is to his clients not to any corporation. He focuses on providing the best and most suitable solutions for his clients and provides the appropriate amount of “teaching” necessary for clients to understand their insurance needs. Bruce also provides information to his clients on areas of risk that have not been addressed. A process of client evaluation is done based on specific criteria which includes, but not limited to, their risk tolerance, time horizons, asset allocation, task prioritization and individual objectives.
Bruce was born in Jacksonville, North Carolina while his dad was in the Marines. Based on his size, his parents were often asked if they got the wrong child. His dad would always reply…for $5.00 in a Navy Hospital…who knows. He grew up in a blue collar town in New Jersey and started playing little league baseball at the age of 8. One of his most early sports memories was being called out on strikes in the conference winning game by his dad who was the empire. In middle school, he continued his pursuit in sports, playing soccer, basketball and baseball. During this time Bruce was also a boy scout achieving a level of life designation.
The high school years were spent taking college preparatory classes and participating in football and track and field. His natural talent enabled him to be recruited to several colleges for track and field and he decided to attend ASU. While at ASU, Bruce achieved a BS in Biology and was a member of the 1977 National Championship Track and Field Team. In 1980, he was designated an All-American and qualified for the US Olympic trials in the shot put event.
Bruce went on to get a masters at ASU in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance and graduated with honors having a 3.5 GPA.
In the fall of 1982, Bruce was hired by Merck & Co. Inc. in a position as a pharmaceutical sales representative. Bruce excelled several field sales and sales support positions for the next 27 years. As a result of his positive performance, he was the first person promoted to a newly created designation as a Senior Executive specialty Sales Representative. Bruce also received numerous top performance awards and recognition for his outstanding results.
Due to the economic turmoil in the pharmaceutical industry Merck was required to start downsizing in 2005. Bruce accepted early retirement in 2009 and went on to his current career as a financial advisor specializing in personal and business insurance products.
